PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania — The Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (PMAHCC) is currently seeking applicants for their “Entradas” Mentoring Program, an initiative designed to cultivate a structured, one-on-one relationship building model, strategically designed to connect people.
The program also aims at increasing the knowledge, while helping to develop the skills to create, stimulate and enable mentees to achieve future goals and milestones.
Participants will participate in three “Entradas” visits to a PMAHCC member restaurant (when in-person) or in virtual sessions if necessary.
The matchmaking of the mentor and mentee is based on the answers from a questionnaire.
During the three meetings, the discussions will correspond to the mentee’s interests and goals.
The program’s main objective is to spark meaningful connections between Hispanic mentees and mentors while providing a foundation of knowledge from which the mentee can springboard into their next endeavor with confidence, modeled from the PA Women Work’s “3 Cups of Coffee” mentoring initiative.
According to 3cupsofcoffee.org, this project is a short-term volunteer mentor partnership for women.
“They meet three times to chat for an hour at a local coffee shop. Together, they create a personalized plan that identifies career goals and job prospects while strengthening their connections. Mentors provide experiences, knowledge, and a network of contacts to help participants define and succeed [in their goals], reads the website.
